WOONSOCKET, R.I. (MAY 18, 2009) – Coming off back-to-back wins at the Texas Open, Zach Johnson will make his second appearance at the CVS Caremark Charity Classic June 21-23 at the Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, R.I., tournament officials announced today.
Johnson, who made his inaugural appearance in the Charity Classic in 2007 after winning the Masters, will be teamed with 2009 Buick Invitational winner Nick Watney. Watney, who will be making his inaugural appearance at the CVS Caremark Charity Classic ranks second in driving distance on the PGA TOUR. Johnson and Watney are first and sixth respectively in the FedEx Cup standings.

Co-Ed Pairings
Mixed teams will participate in the 2009 edition of the tournament for the first time. Co-ed pairings are set to include Morgan Pressel with Davis Love III, Juli Inkster with Brad Faxon, Helen Alfredsson with Billy Andrade and Natalie Gulbis with Peter Jacobsen. Back to defend their title will be 2008 tournament champions Bubba Watson and Camilo Villegas. Other teams slated to attend include fellow South African’s Nick Price and Retief Goosen, Anthony Kim and Todd Hamilton as well as uncle/nephew duo of Dana Quigley and Brett Quigley who will be making their 11th straight appearance.

Tournament week begins with the Pepsi Pro-Am on Sunday, June 21 followed by the two-day tournament Monday, June 22-Tuesday, June, 23 at the Rhode Island Country Club. Participants will be competing for a purse of $1.55 million.
Tickets for the star-studded CVS Caremark Charity Classic are now on sale. A three-day pass is $60. Sunday-only tickets are $20 each and tickets for either Monday or Tuesday are $25 each. Children 17 and under are free with a ticketed adult.
